After setting some of the world's best ramps on fire, Gigi Hadid is off to a new adventure! Nope, she’s not launching a clothing line, and neither is she foraying into cosmetics and makeup. Surprisingly, Hadid is planning on making her baking debut! And she’s joining hands with none other than the legendary baker Buddy Valastro.
Guess there’s no chance of her going wrong since she’s got the best of mentors!
Hadid's recent expedition
On June 19, 2021, Cake Boss star Buddy shared an adorable picture with Gigi Hadid on his Instagram handle. In the photo, the duo flaunted white chef coats with "Buddy" and "Carlo's Bakery" imprinted on each side. Not only did Valastro share the picture, he also mentioned some of Hadid's cool baking tricks.
The baker stated that the supermodel is the sweetest person on Earth, and she has some incredible cake decorating ideas. He even called her a part of his family and a friend for life. Returning the lovely compliment, Hadid posted a few pictures from Valastro's bakery with a sweet caption. She thanked Valastro and his whole family for making her day special and hinted towards an upcoming project.
Apparently, this wasn't the first time Hadid has showered the New Jersey baker with love. On her 25th birthday, she’d praised Valastro for surprising her with a huge bagel-shaped cake. While sharing photos of the same on her Insta page, she said it was as if her childhood dream had come true. She admitted to watching Cake Boss since the age of 10 and said she's Valastro’s biggest fan.
"I'm obsessed with Cake Boss"
This spring, Hadid spoke about her love for Valastro's baking during an interview with i-D Magazine. In addition to sharing Valastro's contribution to her 25th birthday, the mother of one gave insights into her current birthday celebrations, saying that Valastro would bake her a big cheese-wedge-shaped cake this year!
From there, she went on to explain her devotion to pasta and how it has inspired her home decor. Speaking about the pasta drawers in her kitchen, she said they're not real; they're just for show. She has bought them from Linda Miller Nicholson, who sells naturally colored pasta-making kits. Hadid continued that she has been following Nicholson's work for years and always wanted to own some of her creations.
While concluding, she said that the colorful draws spread positivity and joy and make her feel happy.
We're hoping Hadid and Valastro’s collaboration will lead to some delicious cooking. But until someone reveals some more details, we guess we will have to wait patiently.
